The hotel sales coordinator assists and supports the hotel with administrative tasks, and helps to bring in new customers. They serve as a direct link between the various hotel departments and the sales team. Responsibilities include increasing customer loyalty through the creation of special offers, promoting the hotel at trade shows, networking with travel agencies and local vendors, and promptly responding to client inquiries. This position commonly requires business acumen and a sales mindset with excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.

Our successful hotel is looking for a hospitality professional with a sales mindset to assist in helping grow our hotel. You will serve as a liaison between the sales department and the front desk to provide our guests with an unforgettable experience at our hotel in addition to attracting new guests to increase our revenue. You’ll be in charge of responding to guest inquiries, contacting potential new guests based on networking and referral leads, and assisting the sales team with administrative tasks. Hotel Sales Coordinator responsibilities
  • Prospect a list of company and referral leads generated through research, networking, social media, special events
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests
  • Generate sales presentations and a variety of additional materials for prospective customers highlighting event space, dining and catering services, and facility amenities
  • Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding guest satisfaction for the hotel group
  • Assist sales team by managing schedules, filing important documents, and communicating relevant information
Hotel Sales Coordinator qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry
  • Proven track record of sales success
  • Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively
  • Good organization and time management skills
