Area Sales Manager responsibilities
  • Evaluate property performance in your area and create regional sales plans and sales goals in alignment with brand objectives
  • Generate new business, close deals, and increase revenue by cold calling, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking
  • Maintain an active list of key accounts to ensure continuous relationship development
  • Identify new business leads by examining local market trends and competition activities
  • Motivate the sales team to meet or exceed established monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit margin targets
Area Sales Manager qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • Must have previous sales experience working in the hospitality industry
  • 3 or more years of experience in sales management or a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in hospitality
  • Understands how to communicate, negotiate, and network effectively
  • Good organization and time management skills
