HVAC Service Manager responsibilities
  • Lead a team of HVAC technicians to ensure efficient and timely completion of installations, maintenance, and repairs
  • Coordinate with clients to understand their HVAC system needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Develop and implement service schedules and procedures to optimize productivity and customer satisfaction
  • Create and present technical training programs for technicians by analyzing needs, creating materials, and conducting sessions
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring an adequate supply of equipment and parts for seamless operations
  • Conduct regular inspections to assess the performance and safety of HVAC systems, recommending repairs or upgrades as necessary
  • Follow local, state, and federal HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair regulations
HVAC Service Manager qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or GED equivalent needed
  • Three or more years of experience in HVAC service, with some in a management role
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong customer-focused mentality
