We’re looking for a motivated, detail-oriented automotive accountant to help our dealership accounting staff maintain its financial information. As part of our accounting team, you’ll be in charge of bookkeeping, producing financial reports, facilitating account reconciliations, and recording accurate data. We require 2 or more years of accounting experience, and we prefer previous automotive staff accountant experience. Automotive Accountant responsibilities
  • Consistently input daily financial transactions and accounts receivable data to finalize the posting process
  • Perform bookkeeping duties including maintaining data on financial statements, reviewing bank reconciliations, and more
  • Confirm that books are reconciled with bank statements and prepare all month-end dealership accounting reports
  • Make sure accounts receivable/ accounts payable are processed promptly and properly
  • Oversee automotive group payroll, so employees receive prompt payment
  • Ensure auto dealership transactions are accurately recorded in all general ledgers
Automotive Accountant qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is mandatory
  • At least two years of work experience in an accounting firm or as a cost accountant, accounting manager, or bookkeeper is required
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be well-versed in generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Exhibit exemplary problem-solving, time management, and communication skills
  • Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks experience is needed - CDK accounting experience is preferred
