Sid Upadhyay, CEO & Co-Founder — From growing up in his family’s hotel business to writing the original code for Wizehire in 2014, Sid Upadhyay has been a proud member of the small and growing business community his entire life. Which is why, after developing exclusive evaluation tools and technology for Fortune 500 companies with Wizehire Co-founder Jay Niblick, he made it his mission to make innovative, best-in-class hiring and recruiting solutions accessible to all. As Wizehire’s reach has expanded, it’s become known for its purpose-fueled company culture—earning spots on Inc.’s 5000 and Best Workplaces lists. Sid holds a B.S. in statistics from the University of Texas at Austin. He lives in Houston where he is an avid home chef to his wife and their wheaton terrier poodle mix, Pippa.
Marisa Youngblood — VP of People Operations
Since joining Wizehire in August 2021, Marisa has focused on enhancing the employee experience and guiding team members through their career journeys. With a strong foundation in Austin’s tech scene since 2016 and prior experience working with on-air talent at a local news station, Marisa brings a unique perspective to People Operations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston and has earned a Certificate in HR Management from The University of Texas at Austin, as well as SHRM certification. Marisa loves supporting Wizehire’s talented team and fostering an inclusive workplace culture. Outside of her professional role, Marisa is a certified yoga teacher who supports women in sober living and those entering rehabilitation for substance use. Her passion for wellness complements her dedication to creating a positive and supportive environment at work.


Tara Smith — VP of Customer Success
Tara leverages over 13 years of experience leading customer success teams in the technology sector. Tara is dedicated to enhancing the customer experience by driving team member development, fostering cross-team collaboration, and solving complex customer challenges with innovative solutions. At Wizehire, Tara’s teams are responsible for supporting customers at every stage of their journey, including implementation, training, support, and ongoing relationship management. Her passion lies in aligning the right people with the right tasks, ensuring that customer interactions are seamless and effective. Prior to joining Wizehire, Tara held several leadership roles across diverse industries, equipping her with a unique understanding of both the operational and strategic elements of customer success. Tara holds a BA in English with a minor in Psychology. She lives in Birmingham, Alabama, where she loves the sense of community and exceptional hospitality.
Carmen Bryant — VP of Marketing, Wizehire
Carmen is a senior marketing leader with more than 20 years of marketing, research, and thought leadership expertise. She has spoken on recruiting insights and best practices globally, having presented in boardrooms and conference venues worldwide, and been featured as a speaker by organizations including SHRM, SHRM India, and the Human Capital Institute.
