Fitness General Manager responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the gym or fitness center including classes, sales, and memberships
  • Manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating employees
  • Monitor financial performance and develop strategies to increase revenue
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing complaints and concerns
  • Create and implement marketing and sales strategies to attract new members and retain existing ones
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for members and staff
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
Fitness General Manager qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED; degree in a fitness related field of study is a plus
  • Must have at least 3-5 or more years of experience in the fitness field
  • Previous experience as a manager, assistant manager, or similar position required
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven customer service experience as a manager; strong member-focused mentality
