Job Summary
Carpenters specialize in producing functional infrastructure and products using wood and other materials. They are responsible for building and repairing staircases, door frames, window frames, partitions, and rafters on construction projects. They also install kitchen cabinets, drywall, and siding. Job duties include reading blueprints, building frameworks, and using hand and power tools to get the job done while meeting building code. This is an entry-level position for carpenters that have completed a carpentry apprenticeship program. Carpenters work full-time positions at various job sites.
