We're hiring a full-time pest control technician to help our customers get rid of unwanted visitors! You'll identify red flags that signal the presence of an infestation, decide on the appropriate treatment, and safely administer the appropriate tactics to eradicate pests and keep them from coming back. The ideal applicant has experience with integrated pest management, strong customer service skills, and enjoys helping people. Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance for the best extermination processes for the identified infestation source and whether the process will include pesticide use, mechanical traps, blockages, and/or other pest control methods
  • Evaluate each residence for red flags of potential infestations, such as bed bugs, termites, rodents, vermin, or other pests
  • Reply to all pest control inquiries
  • Follow safety procedures and product instructions at all times when using fumigants and power spraying equipment, such as wearing protective gear
  • Combine the correct amount of chemicals to spray over the area based on the area’s measurements
  • Record work activities and complete all paperwork after finishing services
  • Work with staff in the pest control office to arrange appointments with customers
Qualifications
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to obtain a Pest Control License
  • Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, climbing stairs, accessing and exiting roof or attic areas utilizing a ladder, and going into crawl spaces
  • Not bothered by working outside in a variety of weather conditions
  • Physically fit enough to lift 50 lbs and climb into confined spaces regularly
  • Passed the pest control license exam provided by the Department of Agriculture
  • Has clean driving record and U.S. driver’s license
  • Works well in the presence of all kinds of pests, including termites, bedbugs, rodents, and more
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good customer service skills
  • Clear background check
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
Compensation
$35,000 - $55,000 yearly
