We are looking for a Transaction Coordinator to handle paperwork and be the glue that holds this team together.

The team: 

Our client is a company of doers. They do what they say and say what they mean. Our client is a 17-year-veteran and expert in the matters of leasing to subsidized housing recipients, consulting and assisting Landlords with establishing the necessary infrastructure to accept section 8 tenants.

The nitty gritty:

Location: Candidate may live anywhere in the United States. They must be available to work East Coast hours.

Type of employment / hours: Virtual Position, Full Time, M-F.

Compensation: $12.50 - $15 / hr to start, Independent Contractor

As a Transaction Coordinator, you are responsible for quickly and efficiently processing rental applications for section 8 housing applicants. This is a hands-on, process-oriented, dynamic position where the details matter. 

On any given day or week, you might... 

  • Coordinate and liaise between real estate agents, rental applicants, social workers and landlords
  • Answer the phone, quick-screen tenants and forward calls appropriately
  • Oversee compliance and review all paperwork
  • Follow up with tenants and ensure that they meet deadlines to submit documentation
  • Update the team on the progress of all contracts
  • Call on potential landlords to discuss the company’s service


A self-motivated, dedicated professional with strong interpersonal and organizational skills. You are detail-oriented and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Your past experience includes:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an administrative assistant
  • Real estate experience preferred but not required (TC Experience, loan processing or escrow experience a plus)
  • Prior experience working in an administrative role from your home office

Ideally, you are familiar with or can easily master…

  • Online, automated systems
  • Basic computer programs such as Google search, email, MS Word
