CLMBR is seeking a talented, results-driven Staff Accountant to support our growing accounting function. The Staff Accountant will operate in a fast-paced environment and play a critical role in the accounting leadership of the company, with involvement in financial reporting and analysis, AR, AP, Payroll, GL, Treasury, Tax, and other functions. Candidates must be self-motivated, and able to create new solutions to evolving challenges.
Responsibilities
Candidate should have a demonstrated ability to perform the below activities quickly, efficiently, and thoughtfully, within scaling Series Seed, A, and B companies.
Accounting & Financial Leadership
- GAAP Accounting - Understanding and practical application of GAAP principles in manufacturing and SaaS environment
- Communication - Be able to communicate the financials, projections, and accounting to key partners
- Execution - able, willing, and enthusiastic to roll up their sleeves and execute to get things done
- Collaboration with partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operations possible
- Proactivity - Identify financial issues and challenges proactively, assessing their perceived severity to prioritize appropriately, which a business will experience, or could experience, and present solutions, prior to "it" becoming a problem
- Accounting Operations – Supports preparation of all financials and statements, month-end reconciliations and schedules, as well as comprehensive documentation and upkeep of all related policy and procedures
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
- Evaluating accounting and internal control systems, identifying any issues and/or discrepancies, and implementing corrective remedies
- Executes on accounting department operations, including accounts payables and receivables, sales and use tax, billings & collections, and payroll
- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions and activities
- Comfortable handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties
- Systems - experience utilizing systems like bill.com and Netsuite, along with advanced excel functions (pivots, analysis, data validation and clean up, lookups)
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Reporting – Help prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash management
- Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
- Modeling - Take abstract ideas, thoughts, and input having both quantitative and qualitative elements, provided by multiple stakeholders, and then quickly organize it and confirm their understanding with the appropriate people at the company
- Forecasting/Budgeting/Strategic Planning – Support the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis
Qualifications
Required
- Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field
- Knowledge of financial statement preparation
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the month-end close process
- 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations (as needed)
- Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures
- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

Compensation
$55,000 - $75,000 yearly
