Exciting new role where you will be in a player/coach role in promoting quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Position can work remotely but we would like the individual to live within commuting distance to Madison, WI.

Responsibilities

  • Player/coach role in promoting quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Iterate on quality strategy and identify process improvements as needed.
  • Identify opportunities for test automation and implement automation solutions.
  • Provide estimates for the testing efforts required for projects.
  • Develops and executes test plans/test cases for development teams' work.
  • UAT validation with business stakeholders.
  • Document bugs /issues and facilitate resolution.
  • Build out our QA practice over time.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrable experience with testing and quality assurance approaches, such as: functional testing, exploratory testing, regression testing, etc.
  • Demonstrable professional experience with test automation frameworks and tools (Cypress, SpecFlow, Selenium, Protractor, etc.).
  • Understanding of or experience with test management tools (Azure DevOps).
  • Understanding of SDLC.
  • Proven problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of excellence.
  • Prior management skills preferred.
  • Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry desired.
