Looking for a Field Technician for our field office at Reese AFB. Day-to-day activities include conducting operations and maintenance of private and public groundwater treatment systems in the Lubbock, Texas area. The position is full-time hourly with a preference for Lubbock area residents. Provides technical engineering information to ensure construction work complies with all engineering standards, codes and contract specifications .

• Conduct operations and maintenance of multiple private and public groundwater treatment systems
• Conduct routine system inspections to include piping components, pressure gauges and flow totalizers, collect system samples, and inspect and change out sediment filters
• Fill out accurate chain of custody forms and treatment system inspection forms
• Assisting clients and others as the expert when working alongside subcontractors, homeowners, occupants, and other personnel that may be involved with projects
• Continuing clear communications with clients and Project Manager regarding project status via email/phone

Education Requirements:

• Associates or High School Diploma

Required Skills:

• 0-2 years of experience with environmental field testing, sampling and consulting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Logistics and scheduling
• Comfortable speaking to the public and clients
• Valid Driver’s License
• Team oriented
• Mechanical aptitude

Highly Valued Skills:

• Groundwater treatment system operations and maintenance experience
• General plumbing knowledge
• General construction knowledge
• Ability to oversee subcontractors and fill out daily quantity verification sheets
• Experience working with residential water wells
