We are searching for a full-time heavy civil mechanic apprentice-shop laborer willing to assist mechanics with daily responsibilities in the shop and yard as well as with repairing on-road trucks and off-road equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Comply with all company safety programs and procedures
• Maintain a clean shop (sweep, take out the trash, separate scrap, clean oil spills)
• Maintain a clean equipment yard
• Operate a forklift
• Working knowledge of hand tools
• Drive to pick up parts/drop off parts to job sites
• Sort and organize shop parts
• Wash equipment
• Assist mechanics when needed
• Grease equipment
• Snow removal/salt during winter
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

• Excellent work ethic, listening, problem-solving, and communication skills are desired
• High school diploma or GED equivalent necessary
• Good manual dexterity and effective use of hand tools and other equipment needed for vehicle repairs
• Associate’s degree from a vocational program, technical school, or community college is preferred - ASE certification is a big bonus
• A valid driver’s license is necessary
