We are hiring a full-time termite Service Technician. For 8 months out of the year, this person will drive a company vehicle to customers' homes and inspect the inside, outside, and crawl space for signs of wood-destroying organisms (termites, beetles, etc). No experience is necessary, we will provide training, but experience in customer service, pest control, sales, or carpentry/handy work is helpful. We are moving to a 4-day work week starting May 29th, 2023! There will be many opportunities to sell and earn commission.
During the Christmas season (October-January), this person will be the lead of a 2-3 man crew. They will install Christmas decorations at residential and commercial locations. This time is very busy, so we will be on 5 days a week for the majority (but not all) of this time. The ideal applicant has strong customer service skills and enjoys helping people. - Record work activities and complete all paperwork after finishing services
- Investigate each location for the warning signs of any unwanted pests, such as rodents, vermin, bed bugs, or termites
- Answer any questions regarding our pest control services
- Effectively communicate to customers about their service plan/contract
- Capable of lifting 50lbs, climbing stairs, and going into crawl spaces on a daily basis
- Possesses a pest control license from the Department of Agriculture
- Comfortable with an outdoor work environment in a variety of weather conditions
- Clean background check
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Comfortable in confined spaces (crawl spaces) is a must
- Comfortable working a roof is a plus but not required
We are a small, family-owned and operated business that started in 1930. David, the owner, is the 3rd generation of Bama Exterminating. Two of his children, Joseph and Anna Beth, also work at Bama and will be 4th generation owners. We do residential and commercial pest and termite control, as well as Christmas Decor in the winter.
