We are looking for an independent, self-starter to build a new department within our fast-growing company. This is your chance to build a claims department from the ground up. Including the creation of processes and staff training. As the Service Contract Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Claims Department. These duties include but are not limited to the management of staff and service contractors, disposition of service contract claims, addressing service-related correspondence and inquiries from distribution partners and retail consumers, the evaluation of claims within the parameters of the Company's service contracts, administration of parts order(s), and handling of state cases. You will utilize your prior experience to establish processes and workflows that will be used to onboard and train staff. Create your own future!   • Be able to recognize issues, identify possible causes, and resolve routine problems
  • Be able to provide recommendations as a result of findings
  • Possess the ability to establish and maintain effective and mutually beneficial relationships with service contractors, consumers, and team members
  • Document all interactions within database


  • Have previous management experience
  • Have 2 or more years’ experience in HVAC, Electrical, or Appliance repair
  • Have experience with reading and executing contracts
  • Have experience with the claim adjudication process
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Understands the importance of “thinking outside the box”
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment without compromising the quality of your work
  • Ability to work with and manage all types of people and personalities 
  • Have above-average knowledge of hardware, software, applications, and office machinery
  • Can use various computer software, hardware, applications, and other tools to aid in research and communication
  • Be proficient in MS Office and database software
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet all applicable deadlines in a timely manner
  • Possess a strong attention to detail

$20 - $22 hourly
