Workers' Compensation Senior Litigation Paralegal
We’re looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Workers’ Compensation Litigation Paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You’ll draft legal documents such as affidavits, prepare briefs, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible. We are looking for a self-starter who is looking to advance their Workers' Compensation skill set to the next level. We like to provide a level of service that is second to none. Responsibilities
- Assisting with the preparation, filing, and service of pleadings
- Acting as a liaison among all parties including court or other neutrals for scheduling and sharing information
- Organizing and managing documents, including the creation of coordinating the collection, review, and production of documents and responding to discovery requests in a timely manner
- Requesting and managing medical records requests
- Assisting with trial preparation including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders, and appendices for depositions and court filings
- Summarizing deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits
- Researching case-related factual issues using in-house files and outside reference sources
- Compiling information and preparing summaries to detail the findings
- Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, consent orders, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, consent orders, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
- Drafting settlement demands
- Handling client questions and concerns and notifying them of important dates and deadlines
- Preparing the clients' files for depositions, mediations, and hearings
Qualifications
- Workers' Compensation Litigation Experience
- Participating in educational opportunities to keep up-to-date on job knowledge
- Must be a self-starter
- Reading professional publications
- Maintaining personal networks
- Participating in professional organizations
- Excellent organization skills
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams Experience
- Attention to detail
- Legal research and investigation skills
- Integrated Claims Management Services experience
- Ability to follow directions and procedures
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and assignments
- Ability to meet and manage multiple deadlines
Compensation
$47,000 - $58,000 yearly
