The Lynn Law Firm, LLC, an established boutique estate planning law firm located in central St. Louis County is seeking a polished and professional Paralegal for our growing team.

This can be a part-time or full-time position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Manage case files for estate planning and estate administration matters, including workflow and deadline management
  • Preliminary drafting and editing of estate planning documents (Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, etc.)
  • Preparation and e-filing of Probate documents and ancillary estate administration documents
  • Preparation of Deeds and asset titling/beneficiary designation documents
  • Conduct legal research, compile and organize case data and information
  • Assist with preparation of trust accountings, tax filings, and trust administration
  • Prepare for and help facilitate client meetings
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, fiduciaries, and advisors (i.e. financial advisors, CPA, trust officers) in a professional and timely manner
  • Other duties may be added based on candidate experience

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in estate planning services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting (however, equivalent trust or financial institution experience may be considered)
  • Must work well with systems, procedures, and checklists
  • Exceptional organizational skills - ability to organize and present information in a clear and polished fashion
  • Experience with cloud-based practice management applications and document drafting software preferred
  • Experience with the preparation of Federal Estate Tax Returns (Form 706) and Income Tax Returns (Form 1041) preferred but not required
  • Paralegal certification, advanced paralegal education, or associate/bachelor's degree are strongly desired
  • A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is required (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Must have a friendly yet professional demeanor and positive attitude
