BatchService
The Senior Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the success and well-being of our team. Reporting to the VP of People Ops, this role will be instrumental in supporting the strategy and development of offerings that ensure constant growth in our rapidly changing organization. A successful training and development specialist will collaborate with other teams to build exceptional curriculum and content, scalable training processes, and ensure outstanding facilitation of training across in-person and remote environments.
Responsibilities
- Assess training needs via surveys, interviews with employees, and consultation with managers
- Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials such as handouts or visual materials
- Create and facilitate a continuous training program
- Maintain training curriculum as needed with continued changes and development of new training materials
- Coordinate training activities
- Monitor, evaluate, or record training activities for program, instructor, or material effectiveness
- Develop alternative training methods if expected improvements are not seen
- Keep up with current trends and developments in your area of expertise by reading current journals, books, or magazine articles
- Monitor training costs and prepare budget reports to justify expenditures
- Liaising between employees and management
- Advises and trains managers and supervisors in best employee relations practices and strategies for managing supervisor problems and employee grievances. Develops further training as needed
- Conduct employee orientation
- Communicate policies pertaining to Human Resources, compensation, and benefits
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and suggest enhancements
- Implement leadership development programs and leadership assessments
- Manage the organization and implementation of learning programs in partnership with other team members
- Support the orientation and integration of processes and programs for new hires
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with operations and functional business partners to understand the training needs of the business
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, human resources, or a related field
- Knowledge of a variety of training tools and multimedia techniques including Trainual and Confluence. Experience with the ADP Learning tool is preferred
- 4+ years of professional development/leadership development experience
- Experience in developing eLearning and instructor-led led training programs for various career levels and disciplines
- Experience with developing and managing process (and process change) documentation
- Demonstrated, end-to-end project management experience: conception and initiation, planning, execution, performance/monitoring, and project close
- Demonstrated consultative approach: excellent communication and influencing skills to communicate effectively and credibly, both verbally and in writing, with audiences at all management levels
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, including experience owning client relationships with senior leaders
- Ability to analyze and synthesize data from multiple sources in order to identify themes and develop compelling recommendations
Compensation
$65,000 - $80,000 yearly
