Echopath is seeking a Senior IT Project Engineer who will be responsible for planning and implementing solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will be reliable, highly motivated, possess the ability to work well individually and within our team, have a desire to learn, and a keen eye for detail and organization. The Senior IT Project Engineer takes on the additional role of ensuring the team’s ability to complete tasks on time to our quality standards. This includes mentoring and assisting other team members.

A day in the life.

In this position, expect to work with a variety of technologies to implement our solutions and ensure customer success. A typical day includes engaging in morning standups about the status of your work, what challenges and achievements you are facing, and what you are working towards that day. Your ability to communicate with others proactively and effectively is key. You will be regularly collaborating with customers, internal project engineers and project owners to make sure tasks and deliverables are completed on time. In this position, you will also handle the highest level of escalations from the help desk where you may have an in-depth knowledge of the problem and ability to solve.

Examples of the types of projects we could be working on include Microsoft 365 implementations and migrations, hosted server environments including remote desktop services, Microsoft Azure, firewall and network infrastructure design and implementations, application deployment (Prophet 21), SQL database configuration and optimization, and managed service implementations using ConnectWise Automate.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and contribute to engineering meetings: Daily Stand Ups, Project Refinement, Sprint Planning, and Retrospectives
  • Take ownership and complete project tasks in a timely manner
  • Communicate with customer point of contact as needed to complete projects
  • Mentor and assist other support technicians and engineers as needed
  • Create, update and maintain supporting and troubleshooting documentation via ITGlue
  • Respond to, diagnose and resolve escalated service requests
  • Define best practices for new and existing customer solutions and technologies
  • Thoroughly and accurately document problem resolution via service ticket and punctual time entry
  • Collaborate with Business Development on proposed solutions
  • Achieve and maintain vendor certifications as necessary
  • Available to participate in the on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 7+ Years of Microsoft consulting/systems administration experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Technology/Science, or related field
  • Proven experience with the Required Technical Skillset for the position
  • Demonstrable track record on a technical project team and timely task completion
  • Ability to analyze and break down a total project into parts and individual tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) technical information to non-technical persons a must
  • Willingness to travel (10%)

Compensation
$70,000 - $95,000 yearly
