We're hiring a friendly and detail-oriented accountant to join our team! Your responsibilities include bookkeeping via QuickBooks Online, preparation of monthly financial statements, and client communications for a number of small business clients. You will also prepare their annual 1120-S, 1065, and 1040 tax returns using Drake tax software.

This position is 100% remote. It will start as a part-time position and grow into a full-time position, which includes salary, bonus, PTO, health benefits, 401k matching, life insurance, etc.

• Record day-to-day financial transactions within QuickBooks
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
• Prepare monthly financial statements and Executive Summaries for clients
• Assist with processing payroll and filing sales tax returns
• Prepare quarterly estimated tax payments
• Answer client questions and maintain positive client relationship
• Prepare annual income tax returns including Forms 1120-S, 1065, and 1040
• Once you are full time, you'll manage a case load of 35-40 clients from onboarding to monthly client management and year-end tax preparation

• 3 + years of work experience at an accounting firm or in a similar bookkeeping/tax position
• Exceptional knowledge of QuickBooks Online
• Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm about helping small business owners is a requirement
• Small business tax knowledge (specifically preparing 1120-S, 1065, an 1040 Schedule C tax returns)
• Must be based in the US
