Hay Creek Express, a local common carrier, is seeking a full-time Class A CDL truck driver to deliver and pick up materials within a 125-mile radius of our location in Pittsville, Wisconsin.
Since our trucks are kept in our company truck shop, and all deliveries start from our production facilities, the ideal candidate should live within 40 miles of our truck shop in Pittsville, WI.
- CDL Class A Required
- Deliver products on 53' van, flatbed, curtain side trailers, and walking floor trailers
- Maintain good customer relationships while making deliveries safely
- Communicate with customers and suppliers as needed during deliveries
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and keep accurate, up to date trip records
- Keep dispatch updated regarding the delivery schedule
- Sweep out walking floor trailers, strap and unstrap flatbed loads, help to unload pallets with a pallet jack when needed
- Active CDL License Class A required and three (3) years of safe CDL driving minimum
- No DUI / DWI charges within the last 3 years
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Hold a current Fed-Med card
- Be familiar with Federal Motor Carrier regulations
- Able to complete pre-trip inspections
- Must have good work ethics and good attendance records
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Positive work attitude
- Keep accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Must be dependable, responsible, and hardworking
- Must be flexible based on customer's deliveries and needs
