We are seeking a full-time manager for a new location in south Tyler, TX. The position of Store Manager will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of 3 facilities within a 2-mile radius from the primary on-site location. 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of our operations team, meeting with ownership regularly and strategizing to continually improve operations and profitability.
  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service! Meet daily with prospective and existing tenants, answering phones and other inbound messaging requests.
  • Perform regular unit inspections, walk the sites, keep the areas cleaned, wiped, mopped, and free from debris and unsightly items, and complete quality control audits.
  • Perform truck/trailer rental duties including cleaning trucks, answering phones, coordinating customer rentals, etc.
  • Be able to perform minimal labor duties such as lifting 25-50 lbs, connecting a trailer to a hitch, moving materials, cleaning supplies, etc.
  • Coordinate contract work, maintenance, and other operational procedures of the properties, including ensuring the properties are kept up to the highest cleanliness standards.
  • Ensure compliance by tenants to lease requirements.
  • Coordinate Tenant move-in and move-out, ensuring that vacant units are in lease-ready condition.
  • Manage, audit, balance cash drawer, prepare and make daily deposits.
  • Perform other operational tasks, as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills and Competencies:

  • A great attitude! A self-starter and a problem-solver are essential qualities of the ideal candidate.
  • Organizational skills to be able to maintain office records and files and have them readily available for reference.
  • Warm, friendly and service-oriented
  • A high degree of flexibility and tolerance for change and adaptability to change or improvements will enhance the efficiency and productivity of every aspect of management performance.
  • Superior computer skills and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Required Education and Experience:

  • 2+ years experience in self-storage property management and customer service preferred. Either from one of the REITs, another private operator, or a third-party management firm.
  • High School diploma or GED

Great to Have:

  • Prior management and budgeting experience in real estate, hospitality, retail, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Google worksheets, Excel, and web-based CRM software
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree

Compensation
$16 - $19 hourly
