This position provides assistance with maintaining in-house food processing equipment, demonstration facilities, and product preparations. The duties include setting up and tearing down equipment for customer demonstration and testing and cleaning and sanitation of machines and demonstration room. The ideal candidate will have basic mechanical abilities and good customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Disassembles and assembles slicing equipment as needed
  • Cleans slicing equipment as needed
  • Helps to manage demonstration equipment storage
  • Assists with the maintenance of Tooling sources, including minor modifications and repair
  • Assists with product handling during applications activities including demonstrations and testing
  • Prepare tested product for donation
  • Maintain and periodically clean product coolers
  • Assist with demonstration product logistics
  • Assist with testing video camera operation when available
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Technical School Certificate preferred
  • 3 years janitorial and/or sanitization experience
  • Equivalent work experience in a food processing plant preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to effectively respond to questions from co-workers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Working knowledge and experience with computers including MS Office
  • Must be able to safely operate a forklift, hand truck, and pallet jack

Compensation
$15 - $20 hourly
