The Sales Enablement Marketing Manager role will be responsible for ensuring the Advisor teams are equipped with the content, assets, resources, training, and tools necessary to effectively differentiate and sell MassMutual Northern California solutions.  You will be a critical liaison between Sales and Marketing to ensure that our Client-facing teams are not only equipped to sell on their own, but also able to leverage ongoing marketing campaigns, events, and demand generation efforts. The ideal candidate has previous experience enabling sales teams and understands solution and product enablement needs for a sales audience. This work involves collaboration with cross-functional leaders and subject matter experts including: Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Compliance, Financial Planning, and other teams within the identified partnership in delivering timely and effective enablement.

Professional who is passionate about designing and developing compelling and innovative learning experiences that improve individual and organizational outcomes and deliver measurable business results.  This Sales Enablement Manager role will be responsible for various activities and initiatives that support the Sales / Financial Advisor teams. The position requires an experienced professional with a broad, well-rounded set of skills, a high level of energy, flexibility, and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate, drive, and deliver effective enablement projects in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the programs are communicated, supported, and delivered to the highest standards
  • Develop relationships with Sales leadership to gain an understanding of their business needs and how best to communicate with their teams
  • Onboarding new advisors, enabling their practice through education, collateral, and measurable tracking
  • Understanding of learning metrics and the importance of capturing key learner insights tied to critical business measures
  • Understand the sales process and work with a variety of stakeholders to solicit their input and requirements related to Sales training materials, training efficacy, event opportunities, and impact on sales productivity
  • This role will interact with sales teams, and work with stakeholders who are spread across different geographies
  • Manage project plans and schedule commitments, ensure plans are integrated and aligned to overall organizational and business strategy
  • Plan and manage meetings, events, conferences, and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating mailing lists
  • Coordinate marketing and community events, including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and ordering marketing collateral
  • Organize team-building events to promote team culture
  • Event coordination to include logistics, vendors, budgets, speakers are managed and well maintained; responsible for the overall success of the event
  • You will design/create and implement marketing collateral on an as-needed basis as well as provide creative input on projects the team may be tackling
  • You will work on new business pitches, proposal graphics, infographics, invitations, postcards, signage, etc. You are responsible for database management system, including updating internal-external information
  • Drive continuous innovation across enablement strategies, creatively thinking of new ways to address the needs and gaps of the Sales / Advisor Teams
  • Use sales enablement activities to help amplify key internal and external events, such as new product releases and sales campaigns
  • Track success metrics and key performance indicators

About You

  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling content, stories, and collateral that increase the effectiveness of sales professional's external contexts
  • Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking, market analysis, and competitive analysis
  • Collaborates effectively and adapts to change quickly, with enthusiasm and resourcefulness when tackling unfamiliar tasks and requests
  • A growth mindset and stays up to date not only on what’s current in learning, marketing, and development, but also in the industry

  • Ability to exert influence without authority with peers, team members, and SMEs
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive. We need a willingness to dive into the details to understand and drive programs.
  • Project and program management execution: you love attention to detail and aligning cross-functional teams' estimates, and build a joint schedule

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Exceptional project management skills- training, planning, prioritization, objective setting, meeting management, and plan execution is required
  • Clear, professional, and concise communications (written/verbal), presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with confidence, clarity, and focus across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience designing, building, and operationalizing analytics
  • You have experience with marketing collateral and bring a knowledge of marketing campaigns and innovative solutions to your clients

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years in sales enablement, program management, product management, business consulting, sales, or marketing with increasing responsibility, including working with sales organization(s) to deliver educational training solutions to improve sales competencies.
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies, value selling, storytelling/communication, whiteboarding, partner development, and selling fundamentals
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship management.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing content and strategies.

Compensation
$55,000 - $65,000
