Remote Telephone Sales Associate Self Storage Part-Time

Work as a Remote Telephone Sales Associate for our self-storage locations. Must be able to commute to Ventura County. Possible remote capabilities after training.

Our Company is seeking self-motivated outgoing individuals with solid customer service, phone, organizational, and sales skills. You will assist customers on the phone by helping them understand their storage needs. You will rent units to new customers, process payments from current tenants, answer questions, and solve problems.

Training Period:
During a 90-day training period, you will work at our physical location in a semi-private area with limited exposure to other people. This will help you get used to the nature of this position. Training will also include time spent at our self-storage locations learning some of the nature of our business.

The base rate is $22.00 per hour, 25 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and $20 per captured lead converted into a move-in.

Your responsibilities will also include but not be limited to:

  • Completing rental agreements, insurance addendums, and any other documents required for transactions, and/or reporting
  • Collection of rent, fees, and other monies owed to the business and emailing receipts
  • Collect lead information from potential tenants through answering rollover telephone calls
  • Assisting callers to rent storage units, making rent payments, and dealing with customer service issues
  • Informs customers by explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing information
  • Works to keep a positive, welcoming tone with callers and co-workers
  • Ability to wear a headset and sit for prolonged periods
  • Use a time management system to accurately report time worked


  • Data entry skills
  • Speaking with clear and correct diction. Bilingual is an asset
  • Writing clear, concise, and correct account notes, emails, and other communications
  • People skills, as far as being able to give and receive instructions in a kind manner
  • Using web-based call center software
  • Using a chat app

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service and or sales experience preferred

$22 hourly
