BrightStar Care of Columbus, Ohio is looking for a strong, experienced Registered Nurse to oversee our Home Care Operations. The right individual will have home care management experience and very strong organizational skills.
BrightStar Care of Columbus is a home care agency providing non-Medicare home care services to people within the Central Ohio area. We are looking for a candidate who can manage the day to day home care operations of the agency. This is a full time, salaried position with normal business hours Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Given the scope of the position, the right individual will periodically work outside of those times. The job will be roughly 50% in the office and 50% in field making supervisory visits and home visits as needed to make sure we are adhering to a high level of services. This position is a true managerial-hands on position.
Responsibilities
Essential Activities and Tasks
- Oversee the care (skilled and non-skilled) services provided by our staff in homes, health care facilities or independent living centers
- Manage all field staff (skilled and non-skilled) and manage the home care office staff (QA nurse, assessing nurse and client care coordinators)
- Oversight of care plans to make sure office staff and field staff are following the plans of care set up by assessing nurse (RN and LPN)
- Will follow current nursing profession standards under our reporting agencies to make sure all surveys, including Joint Commission, Passport, Senior Options, and Medicaid/DODD, are being adhered to and fixing any errors that may result for surveys
- Periodically provide assessments of patient and assure accurate evaluation of client needs
- Maintain current and accurate client records through use of laptop computers and paper/chart documentation in accordance with corporate policies, federal, state and local guidelines
- Reports to the Director of Operations
Qualifications
Qualifications Required Education:
- Registered Nurse, currently holding an unencumbered license to practice in the State of Ohio
- Current CPR certification
- Must be computer literate (a deeper understanding than email and social media). You will be required to train office staff on systems and saving conventions
- Strong and clear communication skills are a must
Experience:
- Management experience—managing administrative personnel as well as skilled and non-skilled medical employees
- Must be able two work independently and be able to communicate with clients and staff diplomatically
Compensation
$80,000 - $85,000 yearly
