Urban Cowboy Lodge is looking for a Server for our location in Big Indian, NY.

This is a busy, fast-paced job. We are a small team of wonderful, hard-working people so a nice personality and positive disposition are preferable. The right person for this job can multitask, takes pride in serving superior cocktails, cares about presentation, and is focused on hospitality. The hours for this position are generally 30-35 hours per week, weekend availability is essential. The responsibilities will consist of set up and breakdown down the service period, executing service in assigned areas, and caring for the guest experience. Also, you must be physically able to carry at least 25 lbs, stand for 8-10 hours, use repetitive motions for long periods of time, and travel stairs. The ideal candidate would be a resident of the area or willing to relocate.

• Receive proper payment from the guest and ensure the accuracy of the guest check and method of payment to protect both the customer and the restaurant from transaction errors
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials so that you can respond to client questions and provide recommendations
• Attend all pre-shift and departmental meetings to improve communications and develop an understanding of products, services, and facilities
• Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed
• Welcome customers upon arrival and promptly seat them, take food and beverage orders from diners, serve meals, and meet any special requirements or requests

• This role requires a strong emphasis on putting the guest first and providing exceptional customer service
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)
• Outstanding time management and organizational skills
• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
• Prior food service industry experience is highly desired

• 1-2 years prior service experience
• Process all guest checks through an approved payment process (credit card, room charge or cash)
• Maintain TIPS certification
• Must be able to speak fluent English and communicate with guest and fellow co-workers
