Casual Dining Host - Part-Time - PM - Weekends

Our Spoon & Cellar restaurant is searching for a host with a welcoming smile and a positive customer service attitude to set the tone for our guest's dining experience. In the restaurant, you will serve our customers by ensuring they are seated quickly, their orders are received, prepared, and delivered in a timely manner, and that tables are cleaned and ready for the next customers. Our hosts are committed to providing a great customer service experience to our guests and our ideal applicant maintains a cheerful and polite approach towards both guests and employees. • Assign guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers sections are managed appropriately.
• Greeting guests as they enter and placing on a wait if necessary.
• Providing guests with menus and answering initials questions about their visit.
• Providing great customer service.
• Clearing and resetting tables.
• Engaging with guests to ensure they are happy with food and service.
• Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions.
• Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Restaurant experience is a plus.
• Ability to provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
• Does high-quality work while unsupervised.
• Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Able to safely lift and easily maneuver trays of food when necessary.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask for clarification if needed.
• Able to work in a busy restaurant environment.
