Hotel Clermont
A Host, or Greeter, is responsible for welcoming customers to a food service environment and ensuring that they are seated and receive attentive service. Their duties include maintaining a waitlist of patrons during busy meal service, passing out menus, and accepting phone calls.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and welcome them into the restaurant
- Clear and reset tables as necessary
- Polish glassware and silverware as needed
- Run food to tables as needed
- Respond to guests' needs, communicate needs to server or manager
- Sit guests using OpenTable system
- Use OpenTable to assign tables to servers before shift starts
- Answer phone and respond to questions regarding reservations, rooftop, to-go orders, and in-room dining
- Use our point-of-sale system to enter to-go and in-room dining orders
- Handle credit card and cash payments
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or hosting experience preferred
- Willing to be a team player
- Effective communicator with all staff, guests, and management
- Highly organized with great time management skills
Compensation
$18 - $25 hourly
