We are searching for a host/hostess with outstanding customer service skills—someone who is a real people person. You possess a positive, can-do attitude and enjoy working with others in a fast-paced team environment. You should enjoy welcoming guests to our establishment and guiding them to an appropriate table, ensuring that it is cleared, and clean. Make sure there are enough seats for everyone. You’ll need a friendly, courteous manner to answer phone calls and make accurate reservations for guests. Responsibilities
- Make reservations, plan out the seating chart, and troubleshoot customer phone inquiries
- Help clear and wipe down tables and set up tables with utensils and glassware for the next party
- Greet guests warmly as they enter to create a positive first impression of the restaurant
- Make sure dining room tables and chairs are neatly organized at all times and that condiments on the table are restocked if low
- Learn the menu, including the daily specials and accurately describe how dishes are prepared
Qualifications
- Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required
- Responsible for communicating politely with customers, skilled at organizing, and have the ability to troubleshoot customer requests or issues quickly, and efficiently
- Thrive in a fast-moving environment while working in a team situation with extended hours of standing to be expected
- This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent GED and a good command of the English language
Compensation
$13.65 - $14.00 hourly
