Urban Cowboy Lodge is looking for a Bartender for our location in Big Indian, NY.

This is a busy, fast-paced job. We are a small team of wonderful, hard-working people so a nice personality and positive disposition are preferable. The right person for this job can multitask, takes pride in serving superior cocktails, cares about presentation, and is focused on hospitality. The hours for this position are generally 30-35 hours per week, weekend availability is essential. The responsibilities will consist of beverage preparation, beverage presentation, sanitation, set up, and breakdown of the service period. Also, you must be physically able to carry at least 25 lbs, stand for 8-10 hours, use repetitive motions for long periods of time, and travel stairs. The ideal candidate would be a resident of the area or willing to relocate.

• Ensure that all customer checks and tabs are paid as well as record daily sales total and enter into point of sale system
• Restock and clean as instructed, including side work for opening and closing of the restaurant
• Responsible for inventory, ordering and stocking of all wine, liquor, and beer. Maintains an inventory of glassware and promptly communicates any shortages to management.
• Mix and deliver drinks to customers including alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties of wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks
• Check customers age by verifying identification cards and serve alcoholic beverages to patrons per federal, state, local, and company laws and regulations

• Displays impeccable time management and organizational skills
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent certification (GED)
• Proven customer service experience with a strong patron-focused mentality
• Previous experience working in food service is preferred
• Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers

• 1-2 years prior bartending experience
• Process all guest checks through an approved payment process (credit card, room charge or cash)
• Maintain TIPS certification
• Must be able to speak fluent English and communicate with guests and fellow co-workers
• Ability to interpret written procedures and apply in practice.
