Augusta Rental Homes is looking for a high-performing and driven Leasing Specialist to join our successful team. Ideally, this person is versed in seeking out and pre-qualifying clients for our apartment communities in the Augusta area. The ideal candidate for this position is familiar with local, state, and Federal Fair Housing laws and is focused on genuine customer satisfaction. The Leasing Specialist will showcase listings to potential renters, lease apartments and single-family residences to qualified applicants, provide consistent follow-up to potential renters and perform administrative duties as directed.   • Warmly greet prospective renters
  • Provides potential residents with information regarding available units
  • Consults with clients to identify requirements and budgets then matches those needs with available properties
  • Provides consistent customer service and follow-up to all interested customers
  • Facilitates the self-guided tour and online application process with prospective renters
  • Manages the collection of payments such as application fees, security deposits, and rent payments
  • Process rental applications to include conducting background checks, credit checks, and verification of other references per company scoring criteria
  • Prepares leases for Director of Leasing review and approval; facilitates online lease delivery and signing
  • Coordinates move-in dates, materials, and processes
  • Creates, develops, and maintains a waitlist as needed
  • Assists with record keeping, filing, bookkeeping, and paperwork as required
  • Prepares for market changes by researching local rates and calculating costs to ensure a competitive and fair price
  • Provides weekly detailed reporting of sales goals and results to the Director of Leasing and Operations Team
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


  • Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including strong sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written
  • Willingness to learn new tools, systems, and technologies
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented
  • Working knowledge of multi-line phone systems, leasing practices, and Fair Housing laws
  • Proficient in iWork, Microsoft Office Suite, or related software

$15 hourly plus commission based on sales
