Remote Family Law Paralegal / Legal Assistant

• This is a hybrid position for a New Jersey Resident ONLY

Must have experience working with New Jersey Family Law Attorneys as it pertains to Matrimonial matters.

The Paralegal will work two days at the office in Bergen County and three days at your home. You will be supplied with all you need to work at home. Must have experience handling areas of divorce and matrimonial in New Jersey Courts. Apply now for a Zoom interview.

• Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a courteous and professional manner
• Managing busy and dynamic attorney calendars including confirming and coordinating court appearances, meetings, etc.
• Making copies, scanning, and filing
• Assisting with court filings and assembling motions
• Compiling discovery for attorney review
• Running Child Support Guidelines
• Assisting in the preparation of Case Information Statements
• Reminding attorneys of deadlines for filings, appearances, meetings, etc.
• Prioritizing work and adjusting priorities in accordance with deadlines
• Willingness to work as part of a team and assist with administrative
• Maintaining reliable attendance records and punctuality

• "Only applicants that live in NJ and hold an NJ certificate or degree in paralegal studies should apply" (unless you have more than 2 years of experience as a Family Law Paralegal)
• 2+ years of Law Practice experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program is strongly preferred
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and talent for writing and grammar
• Ability to prioritize and multitask
• Received Degree or Certificate as a legal assistant or paralegal
• Must have excellent Microsoft Office experience
