Remodeling Division

Roles and Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to)

• Project estimation
• Project planning coordination (coordinate with customer and designer to execute project plans)
• Installation calendar creation
• Obtain project permits and coordinate permit inspections
• Print plans and deliver to job-site for sub-contractors
• Ordering project materials
• Scheduling installers/sub-contractors
• Site supervision including supervision of sub-contractors
• Ensuring job-site safety practices are followed
• Coordinating dumpster deliveries with company admin
• Troubleshooting job-issues
• Managing customer relationships/communication/updates during installation
• Ensuring projects stay on-budget and on-schedule
• Final walkthrough completion with the client and punch-list item resolution
• Providing project cost accounting information to company accountant/admin
• Manage and oversee work sites for both new construction and remodel projects, coordinating site activities and assuring that all disciplines directly involved in the project are in phase with the project goals and objectives
• Oversee and provide direction to general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors when doing groundwork ensuring quality standards are met
• Liaise between engineers, architects, and others working on the project
• Prepare and manage estimates, budgets, timetables, and resources
• Proactively identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues
• Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other specialists, and hire full-time and part-time subcontractors and laborers, and coordinate their schedules
• Attend coordination and progress meetings; make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress site visits, punch walks, and construction closeout
• Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspections throughout the construction process, assuring working environment is maintained at acceptable levels, and tools and equipment are in good working condition
• Maintain and update SOW and preconstruction documents, and monitor contract obligations with a goal of building relationships with reliable contractors and vendors
• Respond to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions

Location:

This position will require a significant job-site presence to ensure proper project execution. Working from home will be allowed however a regular presence in the company office during days in the field is ideal.

Hours:

This is a salary + bonus position. As such there are no set hours. The expectation of the employee is that they will work as needed to fulfill the responsibilities associated with their role. On occasion, this role will require availability to perform tasks on nights and weekends as needed.

Pay:

Base Salary = $87,000 - $ 100,000 based on experience

Bonuses =

1% top-line revenue bonus for projects that finish on time and on budget. Timeline and budget to be mutually agreed upon by production manager and company owner on a per-project basis.

Benefits:

Eligible for 401k after one year of service.

Eligible for annual company trip with a guest.

50% company coverage of health-insurance premiums for company-provided Health and Dental insurance. 

Use of company vehicle for work-related activities along with a company gas card for work-related gas /vehicle maintenance expenses.

Vacation:

3 weeks paid + 1 additional day per year of service – two weeks of prior notice for any vacation days required

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• 3+ years experience in the management of new construction and remodeling projects
• Knowledge of construction methods and technologies, and ability to interpret technical drawings and contracts
• Knowledge of building code requirements and scheduling methods
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a constant eye on quality
• Knowledge of job site safety practices required
• Working with and overseeing subcontractors
• Coordinating suppliers and sub contractor
• Estimating jobs working with software programs
• Customer experience - creating raving fans
• Presenting value and negotiating to win
