The San Francisco Film School is looking for a detail-oriented Registrar / Student Services Manager to join our team. Top-notch organizational skills, experience working in a school environment, customer service oriented, a sense of humor, and a passion for changing people’s lives are all requirements for the job. 

Experience working in a post-secondary school is a BIG plus. Our current staff is diverse and dynamic. We work best with self-motivated, good-natured, and creative people.

Responsibilities

Registrar:

  • Work directly with President in administrative duties
  • Maintain student records according to COE, Department of Education, and VA standards
  • Assist Admission Department in updating and maintaining student database
  • Receive and process student applications 
  • Responsible for sending out follow-up collateral to students (financial aid requirements, payment receipts, enrollment agreements, etc.
  • Work with enrolled students
  • Assist in scheduling classes 

Student Services:

  • Focus on student retention
  • Maintain campus and online communications with students and faculty
  • Check-in with enrolled students on a regular basis
  • Be liaison between students and faculty
  • Update bulletin boards with schedules, pamphlets, posters, magazines, and general lobby area with upcoming events and festival info

Compliance:

  • Work with President and Chief Compliance Officer to generate annual reports for BPPE (State of CA) and COE (accreditor)
  • Keep track of student enrollment/tuition data for each quarter and prepare STRF reports quarterly
  • Assist Chief Compliance Officer in submitting all Dept. of Education required reports and paperwork
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in education or related field
  • Experience working in an educational environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Comfortable navigating government rules and regulations
  • Strong writing and verbal skills
  • A positive attitude with excellent customer service skills
  • The desire to work in a creative community
Compensation
$22 - $26 hourly
