HHM is taking on more full-service, decentralized properties and is searching for a Regional Director of Finance to join the Harrisburg, PA-based Accounting team.

In this role, the Director is responsible for managing and directing the activities of the regional finance team with the main objective of preparing timely and accurate records and financial statements for the managed properties. The Regional Director of Finance will manage a cluster of properties and is responsible for visiting each hotel twice a year.



  • Review and approve property financial statements and monthly financial records.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to property ownership groups and asset management.
  • Oversight of budgeting, forecasting, account reconciliation, and profit and loss reporting.
  • Develop and implement procedures and necessary training to promote the efficient, effective, and timely completion of accounting activities by property-based accountants.
  • Oversee the internal control functions of the decentralized finance teams to ensure SOX compliance.
  • Assist management team in the establishment, coordination, and administration of internal control procedures/policies prescribed in the HHMLP Accounting Policies and Procedure Manual and the Narratives (HHMLP P&Ps).
  • Communicate with and provide training to the Operations team to assist with compliance with HHMLP P&Ps.
  • Assist with both internal and external audits to ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Research and provide analysis and insight into financial trends, operational issues, and variances to budgets and forecasts as needed by the Operations and property teams.
  • Work closely with other Regional Directors of Accounting, Property Controllers/ Director of Finance, and the Vice President of Financial Services to ensure effective coordination of activities between Accounting and Operations and to ensure prompt service to the Operations team.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance and satisfaction of all government, company, franchise, and ownership requirements throughout job performance.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
  • Active in the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with multiple brands of hotels is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of Controller experience at a full-service hotel is required.
