Emery Law Office

Are you a talented multitasker who loves interacting with people? Our growing law firm has an immediate opening for a Receptionist or “Client Concierge.” We’re looking for a team player who has excellent administrative and communication skills to be our Ambassador of First Impressions. You’ll welcome clients and empathize with them on the details of their cases, answer phone calls and web inquiries, sort and deliver correspondence, and assist us with other operations as needed.

Since this role involves interpersonal skills and familiarity with social media content, this is the perfect opportunity for someone who has worked in direct sales / multi-level marketing. If you have customer service or sales experience, great communication skills, and a passion for helping others, apply today!

Emery Law Office is a relationship-focused law firm. We go beyond the basic facts of each case by getting to know our clients’ stories. Within the office, we have a strong culture of teamwork and collaboration, with an emphasis on a healthy work-life balance. If you’re interested in growing professionally and personally in a fast-paced, supportive environment, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a positive and professional first point of contact with the firm in-person, over the phone, or online via social media and our website
  • Welcome visitors and assist them as needed
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, email, phone messages, social media messages, etc.
  • Schedule appointments and communicate relevant information to the appropriate parties

  • You are a relationship-builder who is comfortable interacting with different types of personalities and all levels of authority, especially individuals in emotional need
  • You see an opportunity for an organization where others see a mess
  • You’re tech-savvy – proficient in Office, G Suite, and social media platforms and eager to learn our cloud-based systems
  • You have experience using social media and the web to promote a business, product, event, or organization
  • You value doing it right the first time, so you proofread your work and double-check details
  • You are reliable, trustworthy, and able to maintain strict confidentiality
  • You have a high school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
  • You have experience as a receptionist, administrative assistant, guest service specialist, direct sales marketer, or similar position

To apply, include with your resume a cover letter with a paragraph that answers the question, "What are the three most important skills you have learned in your career? Why?"; a paragraph that answers the question, "Why are you applying for this particular job?"; and as a closing sentence, the words “I have read the instructions contained in the job posting and have followed the instructions.” Then watch your inbox for an email (sent from Wizehire) with a few follow-up questions.

About Emery Law Office

Melissa Emery’s mission in opening our firm was to grow a relationship-focused personal injury practice. We provide quality, compassionate legal services and treat our clients like real people. We build relationships with medical providers, support locally-owned businesses, and encourage a personable office culture.

Melissa was a single mom of four when she started her legal career, so she values putting family first. We’re flexible and understanding about family emergencies. Oh, and did we mention leaving at 4 pm on Fridays and not working weekends?

We prefer authentic over uptight and stuffy. We care about our clients and each other. We love what we do and we love to celebrate - whether it's a milestone, a birthday, or just another of our frequent doughnut days.

We look forward to meeting you!
