What attitudes and traits will serve you well:
Cool Things You’ll Learn
You’ll learn how to help people. How to care about them and take care of them. We are going to help them through possibly the worst time in their life. You will learn about the Family Law judicial system. You won’t be the same person after working here. You will be a better person with increased critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. You will learn what it takes to run a business (that happens to be a law firm). You will learn how to work as a team in a collaborative fashion, where we all succeed together or we all fail together (hopefully not a lot of this one). You will learn that every idea, from every teammate, is a good one, and will make us better in the future.
The Hiring Process
If this exciting opportunity appeals to you, we look forward to reviewing your resume. Please follow these instructions. APPLICATIONS THAT DO NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Prepare a cover letter with no more than two paragraphs and a single closing sentence. In the first paragraph explain what you believe are the 3 most important qualities that must be possessed by a receptionist working with people experiencing divorce. In the second paragraph tell me why you applied to this particular ad. As a closing sentence please write, “I have read the instructions contained in the job posting and have followed the instructions.” Do not send your resume through the online job service (Indeed, etc.). Email your resume and cover letter in PDF format to info@chrislawyer.com. The subject line of the email should be “I am your next Director of First Impressions”.
From there, we will have a couple of interviews where you can ask as many questions as you like. And you should have a lot. The more the better. We like questions here. Also, be resourceful, and stand out from the crowd. Show us what you got!
This firm was built by Chris Schmiedeke and he built his law firm around one goal and he calls it Divorce. Simplified. Well, it doesn’t mean that a divorce is “simple”. Divorces can be extremely stressful, both financially and emotionally. We are here to try and “simplify” the divorce process to reduce our client's stress so they can understand what is going on. Trust me, divorces are never “simple”. So, how are we different? How do we "simplify" things?
1st - We are honest with our clients.
2nd - We simplify the process by communicating with our clients.
3rd - Teamwork
4th - We work efficiently.
5th - Provide top-notch customer service.
