First of all, age is not a factor. Both young professionals and retirees are getting into real estate every day. Laid off from your job, maybe now is the time for you to rethink your career path and take control of your future. You don’t have to be a super salesperson either. A sincere desire to help people realize their dream of homeownership, move up or down to their next home or make good investments is your most important asset.

To become a Realtor in Florida the process is actually quite simple. You start by enrolling in a Real Estate School of your choice, there are many options in our Market; however, we recommend: Gold Coast, they offer both online and traditional in-classroom courses at competitive rates.

Once you pass your class AND state exams you may join our brokerage.

Last but not least, you will be required to join a Board of Realtors. When you do so, your annual dues will cover your National, State and Local dues, plus your MLS fees for access to the Real Estate inventory in your market. Over the next 24 months, you will be required to complete 45 hours of Continued Education and in succeeding years the requirement drops to 14 hours every 2 years to keep your license current.

  • Maintaining relationships with past clients

Real estate is a commission-driven business that allows you to earn an income based on what you are really worth, not what someone at your JOB has said you’re worth. You will get out of the business what you put into it. Remember, you represent a product that everyone wants, you just need to help them find and purchase it. You’ll create relationships that last a lifetime resulting in repeat and referral business. What a great career. We’ll answer any questions you have even if you haven’t started the schooling yet.

Qualifications
  • A valid Real Estate License is required for this job
  • Show good organizational and time management skills
  • Driven, self-motivated and desires professional growth
  • Tech savvy
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and networking skills
  • A successful and proven sales history is preferred
Compensation
$50,000 - $250,000 per year
