Who are we looking for? 

The Buyer Specialist is an individual who is highly sociable, draws energy from working with people, and is optimistic and outgoing. They have a strong sense of urgency, though not at the expense of quality. This person demonstrates the knowledge, attitude, skills, and habits of a high-achieving agent who is committed to putting clients first, to doing the right thing, and to seeking win-win agreements. 

The Buyer Specialist prospects daily for leads, converts those leads to appointments, obtains Exclusive Buyer Agency agreements, and then conducts a high-level Buyer Needs Analysis. At that point the agent will select homes that meet the criteria and will show those homes to the clients. Once the buyers find the right home, the Buyer Specialist will negotiate the offer, write the contract, negotiate any repair requests, and oversee the deal through its close along with the assistance of our Director of Operations and/or Closing Coordinator. 

The Buyer Specialist demonstrates a commitment to learning and strives for growth by regularly attending courses, teaching courses when appropriate, and regularly practicing scripts and dialogues. He/She is committed to investing in the people on the team and regularly provides them with learning and growth opportunities as applicable. 


  • Oversee all aspects of buyer's transactions from initial contact through closing
  • Assist in training and consulting any additional Buyer Specialists and Showing Assistants
  • Negotiate for Buyers 
  • Maintain a high level of communication with all clients
  • Prompt response to client needs/inquiries is paramount
  • Active NC Real Estate License
  • Display a people-oriented, positive and customer-focused attitude
  • Serve as a strong advocate for clients and their goals
  • Exercise active listening and active questioning skills to build rapport and uncover client needs
  • Display persistence and resilience when working through challenging situations
  • Show good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to spend a large amount of time traveling by car
  • Some weekend and evening hours required
