Your objective as the Director of Sales is to increase the performance and production of each member of our sales team, while helping to identify and nurture their individual strengths and coach around their personal areas of growth. You will be responsible for leading and mentoring the sales division - including holding our agents accountable to their professional goals as well as our role standards.

Our ideal Director of Sales is an individual who is highly sociable, draws energy from working with people, and is optimistic and outgoing. He/she is an excellent leader within the organization, able to build and lead a cohesive sales team of Buyer Specialists and Showing Assistants who are united in their commitment to the team’s standards and to achieving the team’s goals. This individual has a strong sense of urgency, but not at the expense of quality.

The Director of Sales leads the buyer side of the team by hiring, training, consulting, and holding accountable all Buyer Specialists and Showing Assistants. In addition, he/she demonstrates on a daily basis the management ability, knowledge, attitudes, skills, and habits of a high-achieving buyer agent who is committed to putting clients first, to doing the right thing and to seeking win-win agreements. 

Our ideal Director of Sales is not afraid of getting their hands dirty and show coaching their team on how to be the most engaged and effective advocates for their clients. Because they are responsible for nurturing and developing the skills and effectiveness of a team of Realtors, they must themselves be a producing Realtor with a strong track record of success. 

The Director of Sales also demonstrates a commitment to learning and strives for growth by regularly attending courses, teaching courses when appropriate, and regularly practicing scripts and dialogues. He or she is committed to investing in the people on the team and regularly provides them with learning and growth opportunities as well.

Ultimately, the Director of Sales is someone who is confident in their ability to systematically help our Buyer’s Agents develop into top performers - so that they also are able to develop bench strength for our listing side. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage sales team of licensed real estate agents and provide strong leadership; provide feedback, mentorship, support and personalized coaching to the sales team on a consistent basis
  • As a member of the Ford & Associates Leadership, the Director of Sales will work in partnership with both the CEO and the Director of Business Operations to develop and manage a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve organizational sales goals and revenues.
  • The Director of Sales will also be in charge of talent development (including hiring and on-boarding) as well as talent retention within the Sales team; this will include the responsibility to manage the activities and performance of the sales team (with data provided consistently by both DBO and Leads Manager) and hold accountability of each sales team member towards their personal and professional objectives
Qualifications
  • MUST be a licensed Realtor in Colorado with a proven record of closing at least 24 residential real estate transactions within a given 12 month period 
  • Previous sales experience in Real Estate with a proven track record of working successfully within a team environment
  • Experience and confidant competence in all aspects of real estate sales cycle (from lead generation and lead follow up through appointments, consultations, agency agreements, contracts, negotiations, closings, etc.)
  • Proven experience in exceptional customer relationship management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • 1-2 years experience in organizational leadership and/or training/coaching
Compensation
$120,000 (Salary & Commission) plus benefits
