Whether it’s selling a home, searching for a home, or negotiating a contract, each member of BPG is a professional real estate agent or admin who applies their expert skills to each step of the process to help each client achieve an outstanding result.

As part of the leadership team, the Director of Sales ensures that the mission of BPG is carried forward by every agent and staff member of BPG's original production business. The Director of Sales replaces the owner as the day-to-day operator of that original production business, including being in active production.

The Director of Sales is highly sociable, draws energy from working with people, and is optimistic and outgoing. He/She is an excellent leader within the organization and is able to build rapport and trust quickly with all agents and staff members. He/She unites all team members in their commitment to the team’s standards and to achieving the team’s goals. This individual has a strong sense of urgency, but not at the expense of quality.

The Director of Sales leads the original production business by hiring, training, coaching, and holding accountable all agents at the hub. Through his/her leadership, this business continually sets the example in the market center in quality service, lead generation, and commitment to the company mission.

In addition, in production, he/she demonstrates on a daily basis the knowledge, attitudes, skills, and habits of a high-achieving agent who is committed to putting clients first, to doing the right thing, and to seeking win-win agreements. Depending on the primary function of the role, the Director of Sales may prospect for leads daily, set appointments with those leads, close for agreements, and then conducts a high-level fiduciary needs analysis. He/she role models what he/she expects to see in other people by utilizing his/her own production as training opportunities, every step along the way.

The Director of Sales also demonstrates a commitment to learning and strives for growth by regularly attending courses, teaching courses when appropriate, and leading scripts and dialogue practices. He/she is committed to investing in the people on the team and regularly provides them with learning and growth opportunities as well. 

This is a commission-only position with a $94,000 first-year payout, at plan.

Responsibilities

What will you do?

These are the standards a well-above-average performer will maintain or exceed:

  • Lead the mission and vision of the original production business
  • Hire, train, coach, and hold accountable all agents at the hub
  • Prospect for leads, convert leads to appointments, close for agreements, and conduct high-level fiduciary needs analyses
  • Consult with clients to ensure fiduciary service of the real estate transaction from initial contact through contract to close
  • Oversee negotiations, for all contracts
  • Develop expert knowledge regarding mortgage financing, neighborhoods, schools, and all homeownership issues

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Oversee all agents of the local sales team, providing accountability, support, and guidance, including weekly one-on-one coaching/accountability meetings with agents individually
  • Hire, train, and coach all local agents
  • Lead generate for new clients daily
  • Lead all aspects of transactions from initial contact to contract to close
  • Negotiate on behalf of clients
  • Communications/Interactions with clients, market center leadership, vendors, other real estate agents and brokers, and, most importantly, everyone on the team
  • Meet weekly with the Team Lead/CEO, bringing data from team activity and results, as well as plans to execute the CEO's vision for BPG
  • Assist the CEO in recruiting new agents to the team, especially cappers and market share agents who are already licensed, and also newly licensed agents
  • Manage relationships with vendors and other vital parties with whom we work

Management responsibilities:

  • All local sales agents 
  • The Director of Sales works with the Admin/Operations team; however, that team does not directly report to the Director of Sales
Qualifications
  • A valid Ohio Real Estate License is required for this job
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • Accountability-based leadership

Compensation
$94,000 at plan, commission only
About Brenner Property Group @ Keller Williams Realty

Sara Marie Brenner is the Team Lead/CEO of the Brenner Property Group at Keller Williams Capital Partners. She is a Million Dollar Club and “10 Under 40” Award Recipient. She is an active producer, mentor, coach, and trainer. She holds a BA from The Ohio State University, an MBA with high distinction from Liberty University with Delta Mu Delta honors, and she is currently earning a PhD in Education: Instructional Design. Brenner was Adjunct Faculty at Hondros College of Business, where she taught real estate pre-licensing, CE, post-licensing, and designation courses, plus finance and economics in the Associates of Business program. As the Team Lead, Brenner provides support, training, technology, leads, marketing, and covers most of the expenses for her team members.
