We’re hiring a detail-oriented accountant to join our property management family! You’ll reconcile accounts, keep track of accounts payable and receivable, and organize all our customer and client financial records. This role is perfect for someone who loves creating order out of chaos and wants to see the impact their job makes on a daily basis. • Obtain signatures for checks and print and distribute checks as needed to properly facilitate all incoming and outgoing payments
• Produce regular journal entries to post to the general ledger
• Ready our books for monthly and quarterly reports
• Prepare detailed reconciliations for each account to ensure every transaction is accounted for
• Assist the real estate team or other staff accountants with other accounting duties as needed
• Stay on top of any needed collections and make sure our bills are paid on time
• Enter financial data into computer software, making sure all bills and invoices are filed correctly
• Handle all accounts payable and receivable on a daily basis to make sure each invoice and expense report is accurate

• Review and produce accurate monthly statements for clients

• High school diploma required, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is highly valued
• Has strong abilities in communication, both in writing and by phone
• Some accounting experience is a plus
• Proficient in property management software, such as Yardi
• Familiar with GAAP
