Project Scope of Work: Provide a new two-bay Munitions Maintenance and Inspection Facility at Edwards AFB, CA. This project is intended to maintain and inspect munitions and missiles to support the 412 TW/MXS. The facility shall be built to meet SAPF standards IAW DoDM 5205.07-V3 and have compartmented areas as shown on the drawings. Construction standards will follow ICD/ICS 705 v1.4, see appendices for more information. The siting, design, and construction of the facility including the Lightning Protection System (LPS) and surge protection will be in accordance with AFMAN 91-201 Explosives Safety Standards, AFI 32-1065 Grounding Systems, and NFPA Standard for the Installation of Lightning Protection Systems. The building area is limited to 7,000 sf per 1391. The actual floor area is tabulated in section 2.4 of this report. Site limits are in accordance with RFP plans, approximately 400ft west and 300ft south of the intersection of Missile Road and the existing driveway entrance to building 720. The building will consist of single-story reinforced CMU perimeter walls with a standing seam metal roof.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement the QC Program
  • Ensure fulfillment of the Contractor’s LEED Coordinator duties, as applicable
  • Coordinate with and support the Government’s Commissioning Authority
  • Attend the partnering meetings, QC Plan Meetings, and Coordination, and Mutual Understanding Meetings
  • Perform submittal review
  • Ensure testing is performed and provide QC certifications and documentation required by the Contract n Manage and coordinate the three phases of control and documentation performed by testing laboratory personnel and any other inspection and testing personnel required by the Contract
  • Implement and enforce strict QC policies and procedures
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and USACE EM385-1-1 regulations n Conduct weekly QC meetings, prepare and submit daily QC reports
  • Maintain documentation for QC compliance and Maintain record drawings and specifications n Identify, record, track and monitor completion of re-work items 

Qualifications

  • USACE CQM-C Construction Quality Management for Contractors - Obtained within the last 5 years
  • 5 Years Experience of similar size and complexity CPR/First Aid Current within the last two years
  • Ability to successfully pass a federal background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher education in a related field is recommended
