WaterCentric is currently seeking a highly qualified Pump Field Service Technician for its Dallas-Fort Worth service operation based in Carrollton, Texas. The ideal candidate will perform, at a high-quality level, all aspects of the company’s in-shop and in-field pump service operations. The candidate must possess a can-do attitude with a high level of integrity, knowledge of safety, and maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of skilled journey-level duties involved in the removal, installation, commissioning, inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and servicing of automated filtration and packaged pumping systems to include components, screens/filters, seals, shafts, stuffing boxes, gears, motors, bearings, couplings, valves, and pumps. Operate, test, and monitor pump/motors for vibration and output performance capacity
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair turbine, horizontal centrifugal, submersible, vertical-multistage, trash, other pump types, and other equipment, used in various pump applications including water collection and transfer systems
  • Test, troubleshoot, sequence/function test, and calibrate a variety of electronic devices to include proprietary software platforms, programmable logic controllers (PLC), variable frequency drives (VFD), interactive touchscreens (GOT, HMI), transformers, DC power supply, flow meters, analog transmitters, and other gear
  • Test circuitry while skillfully interpreting electrical schematics and prints to identify defective wiring/components in analog and digital equipment
  • Disconnect electrical sources, deploy lockout/tag-out procedures to block electrical sources, and reconnect and operate equipment at the control panel for testing and maintenance purposes
  • Safely operate field service truck to include air compressor, boom crane, out-riggers, welder, generator, pneumatic and electric tools, and related tools and equipment
  • Inspect equipment installation work performed by contractors
  • Perform duties in confined spaces, utilizing department safety equipment, policies, and procedures
  • Responds to emergency situations as necessary, can be at any hour of any day

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of: Pumps, VFDs, PLC
  • Comfortable working with electricity

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds up to 100 pounds
  • In accordance with OSHA, must wear PPE and practice job safety.

Compensation
$18 - $25 hourly
