As Property Manager, you will oversee operations, business development and communicate and coordinate with all team members in order to complete tasks as they arise. Our ideal candidate needs to be a self-starter and proactive. There is room for growth, so for the right individual, this could be an open door to a more expansive property management career. The Team: 

We have 125+ units under management and are looking for an off-site Property Manager. We are seeking an experienced and multi-dimensional real estate professional to manage the day-to-day operations of the office, including, but not limited to property management, business development, and office administration. 

We specialize in buying and selling residential income properties for clients while providing a concierge-level of service to loyal clientele. We have built our business piece by piece and are looking for a long-term team member who enjoys the industry and for someone who is looking for a fulfilling career in real estate property management. The Details:

Location/commute: Los Angeles (Echo Park/Silver Lake), CA. Candidate MUST live within a 30-45 minute commute of Echo Park/Silver Lake and have a vehicle to show properties, a valid driver’s license, and carry insurance. A clean driving background is required and will be verified.  

Type of employment/hours: Full-time, 9:30am - 4:30pm on weekdays, 5 hours on weekends (flexibility on weekends required). Occasional overtime. 

Compensation: $23 - $25 per hour plus bonus. 

Benefits: Paid time off, sick leave, 401k (with employer matching after 1 year), looking into health insurance and flexible spending accounts. Milage reimbursement.

You’ll do a little of everything, including but not limited to: 

  • Be the first point-of-contact on general and prospective client inquiries
  • Schedule and add appointments to brokers calendar
  • Help property manager with unit leasing
  • Prepare and lease vacant units 
  • Review applications and prepare leases for new tenants
  • Communicate with tenants to schedule service, notify of inspections, etc. 
  • Keep track of current listings and update/create marketing flyers 
  • Update the website, when necessary
  • Pick up, sort, and organize mail, such as vendor invoices, city notices, rent checks, etc. 
  • Assist in the production of the office newsletter
  • Monitor social media accounts and occasionally post listings, announcements, etc. 
  • Take part in and contribute to the creation of marketing postcards 
  • Mail and post notices to current tenants
  • Organize and help set up office events
  • Maintain office and keep track of supplies
  • Generate new business by meeting with potential clients, attracting prospective tenants by advertising vacancies, obtaining referrals from current tenants, owners, and agents in the area and explaining the advantages of location and services

The ideal candidate:

  • A doer who thrives in a fast-paced environment; handles multiple responsibilities, sees each and every situation through from beginning to end and makes it all look easy 
  • A detail-oriented perfectionist with excellent writing skills 
  • A leader and communicator, able to interact with lots of different types of people and comfortable speaking to prospective clients and explaining our services
  • A skilled strategist who can quarterback the team when the situation calls for it
  • Able to multitask and prioritize tasks as they arise throughout the day, week, etc.
  • A self-starter who is able to complete tasks in an unsupervised environment 
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus

In the past, you might have… 

  • 1+ years of property management experience (REQUIRED)
  • Expertise in Fair Housing rules and knowledgeable with OSHA laws and regulations
  • Experience coordinating with vendors
  • Prepared leases, shown property, worked with tenants, and owners
  • Experience with a wide variety of properties that are predominantly residential inclusive of multifamily unit buildings

Ideally, you are familiar with or can easily master… 

  • Technology such as the Google suite of services and Microsoft Office 
  • CRM Programs 
  • Social Media: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Property management software applications 
$23 - $25 per hour plus bonus
