Work from home may be possible with licensing and full training (done on location in our Happy Valley or Gresham offices) with the ability to meet expectations. Currently work from home is available to experienced agents in WA & OR only.

  • Propose ideal insurance plan options to existing, new, and prospective clients after spending time listening to evaluate their individual insurance needs and circumstances
  • Maintain accurate customer records, bookkeeping logs, and insurance sales databases to report progress toward monthly goals
  • Commit to a continued education in property and casualty insurance protocols and coverage requirements to ensure the ideal types of insurance policies are offered to existing clients, potential clients, and new customers
  • Ensure that existing, new, and prospective clients complete all appropriate forms and meet insurance policy requirements, and facilitate the insurance claims process, which may include examining the condition of physical properties to assess risks

  • Listen attentively to new and potential clients, evaluate their needs and their financial statuses, and propose ideal plan options for their unique circumstances and insurance needs
  • Devote an unprecedented level of personal attention when implementing a range of effective sales strategies proven to maintain and grow long-term customer base
  • Employ successful sales-based marketing strategies such as prospecting, networking, and more to identify and secure potential clients

  • Fundamental computer and Microsoft Office program skills are essential
  • Four-year undergraduate degree preferred; high school diploma/GED or equivalent necessary
  • An accredited P&C insurance license is necessary for this position
  • Proficiency using sales and accounting software is beneficial
  • Stellar interpersonal communication skills, analytical skills, and customer service skills are needed

  • Be able to learn various GEICO computer applications

$23 - $28 hourly+commission
