Dress for Success New Orleans' mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life. Through tailored programs and a continuum of services DFSNO serves hundreds of women annually as they transition from being unemployed and searching, to recently employed and adjusting, to gainfully employed and succeeding. The Programs Manager oversees the suiting center, career center, employment retention and mentorship programs, and ensures a positive and empowering environment for all clients and volunteers. Currently, this position is part-time with a guaranteed 20 hours/week: flexible between the hours of 10 am – 4 pm with occasional evenings & weekends at $16/hour, plus a monthly clothing allowance within DFSNO inventory. There is the potential for this position to advance to full-time within 6-12 months. 




  • Serve as the main contact of DFSNO for client services
  • Plan and manage all pre- and post-employment DFSNO client programs 
  • Secure speakers for programs and run meetings
  • Oversee client education about programming and program enrollment
  • Increase Career Center activity via open office hours, workshops or new ideas
  • Oversee career center digital resources and New Orleans private group within the Dress for Success Community

Referral Partner Liaison:

  • Educate partner agency representatives about DFSNO programs 
  • Update database with referral partner contact information
  • Referral agency outreach via job fairs, speaking engagements, program presentation, etc.
  • Write and create bi-monthly referral partner newsletter 

Client Services:

  • Ensure a positive experience for our clients from start to finish 
  • Supervise and delegate client intake ensuring clients are enrolled in the appropriate programs and receiving available services
  • Identify barriers to stable, sustainable employment and help clients connect to resources that address these barriers
  • Guarantee accurate data through client forms and database (pre and post-service)
  • Maintain and supervise client follow-up

Data Management and Analysis:

  • Conduct client surveys, and analyze and report client data to DFSNO team and board
  • Maintain accurate program records, tracking, and prepare data for grant reports, board of directors and Dress for Success Worldwide


  • Be a positive and enthusiastic representative of and advocate for DFSNO
  • Manage programs’ schedules with volunteer supply to client need
  • Recruit and train volunteers via orientations, delegate daily tasks to volunteers and manage their progress
  • Collaborate with staff to make sure the calendar reflects all activities and programs
  • Work collaboratively and compassionately with clients, co-workers, volunteers, and community agencies
  • Participate in special event/fundraising production as directed by Executive Director where needed



  • College degree with work experience
  • Clear and effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Project management skills
  • Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and social media platforms
  • Aptitude to deal effectively with a diverse population in a variety of circumstances within context of affiliate operations
  • Effective time management skills, be able to set priorities and demonstrate organizational skills
  • Be able to work and function in fast-paced environment


  • College degree, preferably in Communications, Social Work, Sociology or Business
  • Experience with nonprofit organizational operations
  • Social services experience highly desirable
  • Coaching and/or counseling skills
  • Strong listening skills
  • Welcoming personality in all forms of communication
  • High level of maturity and comfortable with maintaining boundaries and enforcing policies with clients
  • Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish goals
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and conducting data analytic projects; as well as interpreting and reporting public data analytic findings. 

$16 Hourly
