  • Specific projects will include blogging
  • Prepare and send mass mailings
  • Answer phone calls
  • May represent the organization at public meetings and plan for the organization's presence at conferences or community events
  • Conduct exhibits/attend tradeshows in order to increase awareness and to promote goodwill for the organization
  • Design and deliver monthly table tent
  • Hinesville Area Arts Council website updates
  • All event photography
  • Utilizing written standards
  • Upload to website and share files
  • Use in social media and other media as appropriate and required.

Working with Media

  • Development of newspaper columns and possible coordination of open house type events.
  • Work includes professional application of research and writing skills
  • Assist in planning media tours, leading tours and meeting with tour operators
  • Write for the annual magazine as assigned.

Informing the Public

  • Keep the public informed through direct communication.

Event Management

  • Management of various annual events could include Christmas Parade, Golf Tournament, Low Country Boil, Food Truck Festival, etc.

Skills, Abilities and Personal Traits

  • Strong writing skills are a must and should be proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Photography skills are a plus, as is familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and/or Illustrator
  • Strong grammar, spelling and punctuation skills
  • Need to be an outgoing, detail-oriented individual with strong communication abilities
  • Must work well under stress and be able to meet tight deadlines
  • Develop creative ideas in relation to projects
  • Plan and organize projects and work tasks
  • Present information clearly and concisely to various audiences
  • Work independently with minimal supervision on a continual basis
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and other interested and affected parties
  • Demonstrate integrity, ingenuity and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks

Work Environment:

  • The primary duties of this job are performed in a general office environment.

Essential Physical Abilities:

  • Sufficient personal mobility, flexibility, and physical reflexes, with or without reasonable accommodation, permits the employee/intern to bend or stoop repeatedly, sit or stand for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in an office environment

Young Adult Liberty Leaders, assisting the Officer Administrator as required


  • Conduct exhibits/attend tradeshows in order to increase awareness and to promote goodwill for the organization
  • Management of various events meant to increase our visibility in the community, as well as provide quality of life activities
  • Social media responsibilities to share information on the good work being conducted by the organization, organization needs and organization events
  • Conduct a monthly audit of our website to ensure optimal SEO, accuracy and viability
  • Attend regular events to network with members and introduce members to one another thus increasing their visibility


  • Previous experience in social media management for business is highly valued
  • Previous experience in writing blogs, press releases, etc. is highly valued
  • Previous experience in event management is highly valued
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are highly valued
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are highly valued

$11 - $13 hourly
