We are looking for an attorney who has a passion for helping people who are dealing with two of the most difficult situations in life: divorce and death. While this proposition may sound grim, hundreds of people in our city experience these realities on a daily basis. The ideal candidate will be committed to helping our clients through the divorce process and navigating them through the probate process after the death of a loved one. We’re looking for an attorney who can hit the ground running to give our clients outstanding representation. You need to have compassion and the ability to build relationships with your clients, know your way around a courtroom, and most importantly, enjoy going to court.

Salary is commensurate with skill and experience and is negotiable. The compensation package includes base, salary plus bonus compensation for production and performance. We offer benefits including health insurance and paid time off. We pay for continuing legal education, bar dues, and some approved voluntary bar memberships.

• We need an attorney who not only knows how to find your way around the courtroom and how to project confidence and competence when dealing with people on behalf of our clients, but also loves being in court! 
• Our ideal attorney knows how to read financial statements, understands equitable distribution of marital assets, can develop a parenting plan and visitation schedule. 
• We need an attorney to handle all stages of the probate estate process, from opening the estate and assisting personal representatives with securing estate assets to preparing distribution sheets for the estate beneficiaries and closing the estate. 
• We need an attorney who can contribute to developing the strategy of a case.

• 3-5 years experience practicing law in the areas of family law or probate.
• Demonstrate handling all phases of a client's divorce case – discovery, pleadings, motions; collaboration and mediation; pretrial hearings, motion hearings, and trials. 
• Demonstrate knowledge of the probate process. 
• Conduct client meetings for family law cases and probate estate matters. 
• Assist in developing strategies on cases.
• Delegate work to paralegals and monitor their work.
